Avoca's Annual Harvest Jubilee & Wine Festival| Annually, Avoca hosts a huge wine festival. Many different vineyards are represented and visitors may taste wines from all around the area. | | Avoca will host its 11th annual Harvest Jubilee and Wine Festival this year on September 18th from noon until 6pm featuring 6 Virginia wineries: The festival will include music from Lew Taylor and the Island Breeze Band, playing classics, and Eli Cook with a strong R& B sound. Crafts food and refreshments will be available. There will be a children’s area with an inflatable bouncer, crafts and more! Discounted pre-sale tasting tickets are on sale at any First National Bank of Altavista location or Miller’s Jewelry. - $17 tasting at the gate
